• Back To School Picnic
A casual gathering for school families within the first weeks of school to reunite after the summer months.
• Back to School Night
Meet your child’s teacher and visit your child’s learning environment! Held in September, this evening event begins in Chapel followed by classroom visitation.
Our annual, gala auction features delicious food, fantastic auction items and good fun, all in support of the school.
The annual Golf Tournament provides an afternoon of fun and fellowship all in support of the school.
The Pumpkin Palooza is a fun event for students of all ages!
• Book Fair
A weeklong, themed event, in October, including an evening of shopping, and family fun to support our school library.
• Field Day
This much anticipated event is held at the end of the school year for all students. Pre-Kindergarten students have their special day on site and the Kindergarten through fifth grade students participate in field day activities at the Newport News YMCA. Activities are organized by a parent volunteer group in conjunction with the Physical Education teacher. At the end, the grade that has demonstrated the best sportsmanship and school spirit is presented with the Howard W. Saunders Memorial Trophy.
• 5th Grade Dinner
As part of the graduation activities for the fifth grade, the Parents’ Association sponsors an elegant dinner for graduating fifth graders and their parents which is followed by a baccalaureate service and commissioning as the students prepare to leave St. Andrew’s.
• Movie Night
Parents’ Association hosts a school-wide movie night for our families, and they even provide the popcorn!
• Fathers’ and Friends Night
Fathers and special friends are invited to share a wonderful evening at school, including a program, classroom visitation and a reception.
• Grandparents & Grand-Friends Day
In May, St. Andrew’s welcomes these important people in our children’s lives. The day features musical performances, student artwork and a reception.
• End of Year Picnic
An annual celebration for our families held at a local park complete with food, games and activities.
• Christmas Program
The annual Christmas Program features selected grades on rotating years in a themed program directed by our Music Resource Teachers, and is a memorable experience for the entire family, alumni and the community.
